Awesome winter boot!5

These boots are AMAZING. I walk all over the place in them. Not only are they comfy they keep my feet dry (I walk in mucky weather very often) and WARM. Actually it's a good thing they have that front sipper because sometimes I have to unzip them just because my feet are SO warm! We haven't begun the really frigid part of winter yet so I suspect this is going to be the most valuable quality of these boots...

They're also really cute. Something different--not your everyday rubber rain boot or your run of the mill flat boot--NO ONE else has boots quite like these! And I really can wear them with almost anything. The front zipper is functional not only for cooling (see above) but for fashion versatility. I often wear cute knee-socks and leave them a little unzipped so the socks show.

The only problem I had was small--they do seem to run a little large--not much--and presumably so you can wear big thick socks under them. I wear 7.5 or 8 (usually an 8 is just a little too big or the 7.5 is a little too small and of course different shoes vary so I always try both and choose the best fit) and I got these in an 8. I think they are a little too big and so when I first started wearing them they rubbed on the back of my ankle (because there was some slippage--not a snug fit? I'm not sure this may have happened if they had been smaller too but I'll never know) but this was easily solved with a band-aid and then after I've broken them in I haven't had any more problems.

One last word re: sizing: I have ENORMOUS calves compared to most women and a lot of times can't even fit into calf-length boots. These do actually fit! Though it's snug and I had to stretch them out a bit. Of course I wish they were roomier but that is a function of my calves not the boots. I imagine they will work FINE for an average size calf (though might be a little roomy if you have really really skinny calves) and will also work if you have large-medium calves.More detail ...

Warm winter boots are essential living in Montana but finding comfortable stylish warm boots is another thing. I love these boots. They look great (a lot better than the photo) fit great are a quality boot and they keep your feet toasty. The soles are great for walking on ice or slippery conditions. I highly recommend these boots and they are worth the money.More detail ...

New Ugg Classic Cardy Boot Black Ladies 7 $140

Great for those chilly fall mornings.4

I was reluctant to purchase these unless I found them on sale but after trying them on and wearing them for a bit I woulda payed full-price for these boots. They are the perfect "walk-your-kids-to-school" boots especially now that fall is here. They are stylish without being too fussy and comfortable just like slippers and warm while still letting your feet breath. My only concern is keeping them still looking new as the knit material can attract dirt. I originally got them in a light pink and later got them in grey. I find myself wearing the grey more often as the neutral colour matches well.

I recommend ordering down if you're a half size (ie. 7.5 order a 7) or sticking with your regular size if you're a solid number (ie. 8 should order 8). The liner does flatten out a bit after wearing and the knit does stretch a bit as well but not enough to size down a complete size. More detail ...

Done and done.5

When I wear these boots women I pass by on the street get pregnant.

So comfy so classic stylish....I get tons of compliments. These ain't your sissy italian boots - these are as americana as they come. May as well be super glued to my feet. Order it 1/2 size smaller than your normal size.

Oh and get it from [...] if you're afraid of it not fitting since they have free shipping both ways. I think I can say that on Amazon now that they bought Zappo's. :) But I think I can confidently say you won't be returning these unless you don't have the income to cover the child support bills that will result.More detail ...

Aerosoles Women's Ride Line Riding BootBlack8.5 M

Poor Quality1

I love the way the boots look but everything else about them sucks. DO NOT spend 50$ on these shoes. They are very narrow and I do not have wide feet.

The worst part is that within two weeks of purchase (and LIGHT USE) the soles are wearing very very thin and the back of the heel has worn away to the plastic (!) underneath. Very upsetting. Not worth the money.More detail ...

These boots are "ride" on! :) 5

Okay my apologies for the cheesy pun couldn't help myself. :)

Lets get to the point these boots are FAB! I have them in brown and I just LOVE LOVE LOVE them! They slip on so smoothly they are SO comfortable to walk and be in.

Overall I really just dig the "riding" boot look. :) These boots look great with jeans a skirt (short or long in fact I can't wait to pair them up with some sweater tights!) they just compliment your outfit so nicely. They have a lovely rustic and timeless appeal to them.

They fall right at my knee (I'm 5'6) fit true to size (I wear a 10M) and they are very well made. I wore these boots around my house the night I got them and did not want to take them off. :) This is why Autumn is even more wonderful you get to showcase boots like these! Hard to imagine anyone being dissapointed with these babies! More detail ...

Great boots!4

These are very comfortable boots that keep your feet dry -- I've never had any rain-type boots more comfortable. The reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the right foot seemed a little bigger than the left -- but it could also be my feet!More detail ...

Women's Classic Tall UGG Boots BLACK Size 8

Absolutely Amazing5

I fell in love with my Uggs the moment I slipped them onto my feet for the very first time. They are wonderfully comfortable & very warm. No your feet won't sweat in warm weather I promise. Most comfortable fit shoe of my life. I wear them at least 6 days a week! **Be sure to order a size down from your normal shoe size. I'm normally a 6 but I bought a 5.** Wear these withOUT socks and they feel like heaven. Wearing them with socks is bulky & well they weren't meant for sock wearing. Cave in & buy them it'll be the best $139 you've ever spent!!! Stuck on what color to get? Black turns your feet black. The dark tan is hard to match things with. The sand is perfect for everything!! Put them under your pants or over.. they go perfect with any day's outfit or weather :)More detail ...

Timberland Men's 6" Premium BootWheat10.5 M

Stompin In My Big Black Tims...lol5

Well I never heard of Timberland Boots until I was about 12 when I moved up to Suitland Maryland (which is 2 seconds outside of SE Washington DC) and saw everyone wearing them. So I wanted a pair and finally got them.

Timberland boots are good because if you want some boots that work good in the snow without somehow the snow getting on the inside than these will work. They are also durable becuase I got a pair in 2000 and they're still holding up. And they are water proof unlike the cheap boots that when you take them off your socks are wet.

Now you have a choice on material. You can get leather or suede. I have both kinds and I perfer the suede better. Leather is good but it can easily get scuffed and very noticable. If you do get a pair of any material make sure you get a cleaing kit of somekind because that comes in handy...belive me. Also they come in different colors. Most of the colors I like. A lot of people like the common yellowish-gold Tims which is cool. I have a black pair which I like too. They also come in blue pink green and more.

They also run small. So if you're a size 10 I recommend that you get like a 9 or so. Make sure you try them on before you buy becuase I made the mistake of buying Tims the same size as my shoes and people think I have clown feet but I grew into them as time went on.

Now since I'm back at home we southern natives don't wear Tims becuase of the warm climate. Every once in a while I'll throw them on to look cool. People think I'm from New York somewhere because they wear these more often than people from Atlanta do. If you need a pair of boots for any ocassion make sure you pick a pair of these up. You don't have to wear them everyday but they come in handy believe it or not.

Really comfy warm and dry5

1. I wear an 8.5 normally purchased these in an 8. I have a wide foot and these allow plenty of room for a heavy sock.

2. Easy to get on right away- I didn't have to fight with them at all. The toggle-lace system works easily and the weather-proof inset sides expand to allow for most calf widths!

3. Went out in over a foot of snow for a hike- feet stayed dry and warm and the tread really is a big help. The boots were comfortable and felt no heavier than a pair of regular shoes.

4. They also come off easily-no fighting with wet boots!More detail ...

FRYE Women's Harness 12R BootTan8 M

Oh. My. God. Mine at Last.5

The Frye Harness Mid-Calf 12R in Tan? Well what can I say? I am one satisfied woman thank you very much. And for someone who's never had a shoe fetish--I've had the same pair of shoes for a decade--I'm beginning to grow an obsessive love affair with Frye products.

First understand that this is the first time I've ever bought shoes on line and for [...] bucks (+ shipping)....? Really ouch. But my god. Heaven. Not only did they come super fast but exactly as the pictures showed. Plus I am the world's pickiest shoe buyer hence 10 year old shoes...

I'm barely 5'3 pretty short but I've got stocky legs and large calves. And while I fell in love with the boot style while abroad in Greece and enviously saw how the Greek women could pull it off so well I just couldn't find a pair that fit over my large calves (which is about 14-14.5" circum). After two years and I swear a million tries I decided what the hell go for the expensive Fryes. And I hate shelling out dough for shoes. Hate. It. But...

Once I saw these had to have. And boy nearly perfect. Feminine but tough looking solidly built and nice thick leather. I still can't get over it. They fit over my calves about mid-calf just as it's supposed to though just a little tighter than I would have liked. But after months of wearing there's now enough room so that there's no pinching. Considering most boots that go past the ankle not to mention my he-man calves was always a no-go for me well...I was more than pleased. And I've been told by others that they wear and stretch wondrously. The toe is a little more narrow than I'm used to and the heel a bit roomier. I have a wide foot so I got a half size larger. And surprisingly I walk just fine and not too much movement or shifting. They're incredibly sturdy on ice or even soft areas even stiff and unworn I felt awesome. The leather is supple well crafted AND made in the good ol' US of A so I felt really patriotic flashing these around. N.B. These days everything seems to be outsourced to a different country some Fryes (especially the tall boots that go past low calf)are made in Mexico so the sizes can be tricky.

Also I've always had a wide foot so that's why the toe is a little more narrow than I'm used to but while others said the size was a bit larger for them for my wide feet perfect. The narrowness will break in your feet--what I mean is that if you have a wide foot that bone that makes up your pinky toe will get a little sore after repetitive wear. If you wear them sporadically and not daily or often this will persist so get your feet used to them and walk around in them for awhile. Afterwords it'll feel like your those shoes were made for your feet!

Someone mentioned the weight yes a bit heavy but easy to get used to if you wear them on a regular basis Once you break in the shoes and your shoes your feet it's smooth sailing and it doesn't take long. Either way didn't deter me in the slightest. Also thick socks will help fill the space if you have a wide foot like I do and you are forced to get a half size up but get breathable socks your feet will stay plenty toasty. This is paramount for the warmer weather get socks that have breathable construction or light weight specially made for warm/hot weather.

If you check their site these boots aren't listed and the nearest ones to them were nearly [...] bucks alone. When I went to the only store out of god knows how many (and I tried a few on and that's how I knew the calves would be wide enough) the ones that were similar to these were also priced around [...] bucks. And knock offs why bother get the real deal. When I compared the two at the store the difference is so obvious it's obscene. Even I who buy cheap cheap shoes was blown away by the quality and craftsmanship. That's what really bowled me over seeing them feeling them and weighing them in my hands. Real shoes people. Real. Shoes.

And I wasn't aware of it but several of my aunts and uncles have only worn Frye boots and absolutely swear by them. They last forever when taken care of and even if you're a bit lazy still last. You just can't go wrong. One my uncles has had a pair for almost 20 years and the leather is nice and soft with a nice worn look from over the years and molded perfectly for his feet and legs.

Care - Remember if you're wearing them all the time and on hard surfaces the heel and soles will wear quickly. So have a good shoe repair place in mind otherwise the boots will be ruined--forever. To soften up the leather clean it and to protect it use saddle soap once a month. If the calf circum is too tight you go to your local shoe repair shop and ask them to stretch them out. You can do it yourself but I wouldn't risk it not unless you know what you're doing.

All in all. A new obsession has bloomed and it's called F-R-Y-E. And I'm already thinking of buying another pair...More detail ...

Slipperl-like Comfort5

My Timerland Earthkeeper boots are well-made and comfortable. I returned the

first pair I ordered in my usual size 9.5W because the boots were a little too

big. I ordered a pair in 9W which fit perfectly. The boots will not require a

break-in period because they are flexible right out of the box. The stitching is

even. I like wearing my new boots so much that I wear them at night when I am in

my pajamas. I've worn these boots on long hikes traversing loose sand rocky

outcrops and steep hill sides. The soles grip loose surfaces well. I've

haven't slipped on granite or basalt rocks.

I recommend these boots because of the high quality sturdy construction and comfort. More detail ...

The only Emu boot style you should buy!5

I love these- the quality of these boots are superb. I have a few pairs of Uggs and Emus- they are all my favorite (depending on the day) but I absolutely love these boots. I have them in black and didn't find the dye transfer on my feet an issue.

I am a size 8.5 and find the 8 fitting just right. There is a bit of arch and heel support that Ugg Classics lack.

If choosing between these and the Emu Bronte Hi forget the Brontes and buy these instead. You definitely pay for the quality and it is worth it! I buy my 4 year old the Brontes and splurge on the good ones for myself!

Very comfy practical sexy and chic! I love my boots!More detail ...
